VeRonica R. Owens, Esquire, is the founding member of the firm and a caring counselor,

advocate, and mediator. She is passionate about helping families plan for the future and focuses her practice on estate planning, probate and trust administration, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and real estate. VeRonica was Keystone Heights High School’s class of 2002 salutatorian, and after attending Florida State University, she went on to law school and obtained her Juris Doctor. She dreamed of opening a law practice in her hometown, and in 2010, that dream became a reality with the opening of the firm’s Keystone Heights location. The firm expanded its reach to a second location in Middleburg, and in 2024, VeRonica was blessed to partner with her husband to form Owens Penrod, P.A. and open a third location in Tallahassee. Over the years, VeRonica has served thousands of clients and mediated hundreds of cases, but her mission remains the same…to provide client-centered, cost-effective legal representation that leaves an enduring positive impact on her community. VeRonica and Peter are members of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral and have five spirited children, Peter II (age 11), Evangelena (age 9), Margarete (age 8), Francena (age 6), and Christiane (age 3).
